Privacy policy

Your time. Your choices.

Effective September 13, 2026. This policy explains how TimePassport handles information when you use our website and contact us.

At a glance

You can use the clock tools without a TimePassport account. Device location and remembering your settings are optional. City searches go to our own service, and time conversions run in your browser. Ad requests are paused while we prepare advertising. Google’s tag is configured to load its consent-management service; the related information and your controls are explained in section 11. Google Analytics is not enabled.

1. Operator and contact

TimePassport is operated by SkyPact LLC (we, us, or our), which is responsible for the personal information we process for the purposes described in this policy.

Email privacy@timepassport.net for privacy questions or requests, or support@timepassport.net for help with TimePassport.

2. Website requests and approximate location

Loading a page sends technical request information to the hosting infrastructure, including your IP address, requested address, browser information, and request time. Hosting and security services use this information to deliver the site, diagnose errors, and protect it from abuse. A referring page may also be supplied by your browser.

The hosting network can derive an approximate city, region, country, coordinates, and time zone from your connection. We use this to choose an initial local clock. Where coordinates are available, our service converts them to a nearby public city record before responding to the browser. They are not added to a TimePassport application database. Approximate location can be wrong; you can choose another city manually. When network detection is unavailable, the browser’s time zone helps choose a fallback clock.

3. Optional device location

We request device location only after you choose “Use device location” and see an explanation. Your browser controls permission; it may ask you to allow access or use a permission you previously granted. The browser may obtain location using GPS, nearby networks, or other device services according to its own settings.

If permitted, our page rounds latitude and longitude to two decimal places before sending them to our own service in an encrypted request body. We use them to identify a nearby city. They are not put in the URL or saved to a TimePassport application database. Rounding reduces precision but does not make location anonymous. We do not continuously track your movement. You can decline, use manual search instead, and revoke permission through your browser’s site settings. Revoking permission stops future access; it does not undo processing already performed.

4. City search and time conversion

When you enter at least two characters in city search, the search text is sent to our same-site service to look up matches in our locally hosted city dataset. Search text is limited to 80 characters. It is sent in a request body, not a search URL, and is not sent to GeoNames or another external geocoding service. We do not maintain an application database of your search history.

TimeTravel calculates your selected date, time, and time zones in your browser; those conversion inputs and results are not submitted to our server. Opening a city page or a city-comparison link does send that page address, including any city parameter, to the hosting service. Ordinary browser history and provider request records may therefore contain those page addresses.

5. Saved settings and browser storage

Saving settings between visits is off by default. If you turn it on below, we use this browser’s local storage for your 12- or 24-hour format and comparison cities. We also save a small record of your choice, its date, and the choice version so we can respect it. These records are not sent to a TimePassport application database and contain no advertising identifier. The page address determines the language; you can bookmark your preferred language version.

Optional and off by default. Save your clock format and compared cities for future visits. Turning this off removes those saved settings. Your current clocks still work.

The records use the names timepassport-hour12, timepassport-compare, and timepassport-preference-consent. They have no automatic expiry and remain until you turn saving off, clear them here, clear this site’s browser data, or your browser removes them. Existing preference records without the new saving choice are not read or reused. The clear control also removes older preference records, including the retired timepassport-language entry. Your page’s current settings remain usable without persistent saving; they may reset when you reload or leave the page.

The clock tools do not use application-login or analytics cookies. Google’s advertising and consent services may use cookies or other storage as explained in section 11. The public clock tools do not require a TimePassport account or an OpenAI sign-in. Hosting and security services process technical request information as described in sections 2 and 7. Browser and hosting caches may retain static assets needed to load pages.

6. When you contact us

If you email Support or Privacy, we receive your address, any name you provide, message content, attachments, and associated email delivery information. We use this information to answer, investigate, and resolve your request, protect the service, and maintain necessary correspondence or legal records. Please send only what we need to understand the issue; do not send passwords, identity documents, payment details, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Cloudflare Email Routing forwards incoming email to our Google Workspace business mailbox. Google Workspace stores the correspondence and sends our replies. These providers also process delivery, authentication, spam-prevention, and security information. Email correspondence is separate from the settings stored in your browser.

7. Providers and other disclosures

TimePassport uses OpenAI’s Sites hosting platform with Cloudflare infrastructure to deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare also provides domain DNS and email routing, and Google Workspace provides business email. Google provides the advertising and consent-management services described in section 11. These providers process information necessary for their roles; their handling of service, account, and security information is also governed by the applicable provider terms.

We may disclose information when required by a valid legal obligation, or where lawful and necessary to investigate abuse, protect people or the service, obtain professional advice, or establish or defend legal claims. TimePassport does not add city-search text, device coordinates, or TimeTravel inputs to Google’s advertising or consent requests. Local copies of map and city datasets do not receive your searches. Following an external source or license link takes you to another website with its own privacy practices.

8. How long information is kept

City-search text and submitted device coordinates are processed to answer the request; our application does not intentionally log them or keep a user history or database of them. Request memory is temporary. This does not mean that hosting, security, or email providers keep no technical records.

Browser preferences last as described in section 5. Advertising opt-out storage and Google’s separate retention practices are described in section 11. Business correspondence is retained while needed to handle the request and related follow-up, resolve a dispute, or meet a legal obligation. The appropriate retention decision depends on the request, its sensitivity, whether it remains unresolved, and any applicable legal requirement. Records no longer needed should be deleted through the business mailbox’s controls; deleting a message does not necessarily remove provider trash, recovery copies, backups, or legal holds immediately.

Hosting, security, and email providers may retain technical records and recovery copies separately from our application. Retention depends on the relevant service, account settings, security investigations, and legal obligations. Clearing browser settings does not delete those records. Contact Privacy if you need information about a particular record or wish to request deletion.

9. Legal bases and international processing

Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on consent for optional device location and saved preferences; legitimate interests in delivering the requested clock service, selecting an approximate initial city, keeping it secure, and responding to support; and legal obligations where required to handle statutory requests or disclosures. Where required, nonessential advertising storage and personalized advertising require a separate consent choice through the consent-management service. Legitimate interests are subject to your rights and do not override consent requirements. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw optional consent as described here.

The service is operated from the United States. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Account-specific processing locations and international-transfer arrangements are still being verified. Email privacy@timepassport.net for available information about where your information is processed and the safeguards applicable to it.

10. Your privacy requests

Depending on the law that applies to you and the information involved, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy, correct, delete, restrict processing, receive a portable copy, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Some laws provide rights to limit certain sensitive-data uses or appeal a denied request. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Email privacy@timepassport.net with your request and the country or state relevant to it. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the request or an authorized representative; please do not send identification documents unless a proportionate verification method has been agreed. We will explain our response, any applicable exception, and any available appeal route within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may reply to the same address to request reconsideration. We will not retaliate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Because we do not maintain visitor accounts or a database of clock activity, we may be unable to identify a particular past request, and we cannot remotely clear your browser storage. Use the controls in section 5 for that browser. Where applicable, you may also complain to your data-protection authority, including an EEA supervisory authority, the UK ICO, or the Swiss FDPIC.

11. Advertising and tracking choices

Google AdSense ad requests are currently paused, and the reserved spaces do not display ads. Google’s advertising tag is configured to load its published privacy messages on TimePassport.net. Loading the tag or a consent message is separate from serving an advertisement. Google Analytics is not enabled.

When the Google tag loads, Google and services used to deliver its consent message may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, page address, referring address, and request time. Existing Google cookies may be read even while ad requests are paused. The consent service may use cookies or local storage to record and respect your choices. Its message describes the partners, purposes, and choices available for your region. Read how Google uses information from partner sites, its cookie information, and its advertising information.

Ad requests are paused.

“Manage ad consent” opens Google’s available regional controls to review or withdraw choices; opening the European message clears and reopens Google’s previous consent choice. In the United States, it requests Google’s state-privacy opt-out dialog when available. If the message cannot load, ad requests remain paused and you can use “Stop ads / Do not sell or share.” Your clocks, searches, and conversions remain available regardless of your advertising choices.

“Stop ads / Do not sell or share” records a separate site-level block in this browser using timepassport-ad-opt-out with the value 1. It contains no user identifier, is not sent to a TimePassport application database, and has no automatic expiry. It blocks our ad requests and prevents automatic loading of Google’s advertising tag on subsequent page loads. Explicitly choosing “Manage ad consent” can load Google’s tag to change its separate record while our ad requests stay blocked. The site-level block does not remove Google code already loaded on the current page, erase existing cookies, or change Google’s own consent record. Use Google’s controls to change that record.

Opening or accepting a Google message does not remove this site-level block. “Reset browser ad block” removes it and can reopen Google’s controls; resetting is not consent to advertising. Clearing this site’s browser data or browser cleanup can also remove the record. If storage is unavailable, a new stop choice can only be retained for the current page. When your browser reports Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we block our ad requests and skip loading the advertising tag on page load; the reset control cannot override those signals.

If advertising is enabled later, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and browsing information to serve, measure, and, where allowed by your choices and applicable law, personalize advertising. Personalized advertising may constitute a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some US privacy laws. Non-personalized advertising can still use cookies or similar storage and is not automatically exempt from consent requirements. We will verify the necessary consent and regional opt-out controls before enabling ad requests.

Google’s cookie and consent records have provider-defined lifetimes that vary by purpose, settings, and applicable requirements. They can remain after you stop ads here; use the provider’s controls and your browser’s site-data controls as appropriate. Accepting the Terms, using a clock, allowing location, or saving clock settings does not grant advertising or analytics consent.

12. Children and security

TimePassport is a general-audience time utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without an applicable lawful basis and any required parental consent. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact Privacy so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required. Do not submit sensitive information into city-search fields.

We use HTTPS, restrictions on external connections, access and request controls, and limited application retention to reduce risk. No internet service or email system can guarantee absolute security. Report a suspected privacy or security issue to privacy@timepassport.net without including another person’s sensitive data or attempting further access. We will assess incidents and provide notifications where required by applicable law.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update this page and its effective date when practices change. Material changes will be highlighted on the website before they take effect where required, and we will obtain new consent where needed for a new purpose. Read the Terms of Use for information about using the service.
