Beijing Time uses the Asia/Shanghai identifier
Beijing currently uses China Standard Time, UTC+8, without seasonal clock changes. The IANA identifier Asia/Shanghai represents the same official clock used in Beijing; seeing Shanghai in the identifier does not mean that the wrong city was selected.
Hong Kong and Singapore share Beijing's current offset. London and New York change their own clocks, so calls from Beijing to those cities shift during the year. Specify the full city name when arranging a call: CST is also used for unrelated time zones elsewhere.
Upcoming clock changes in Beijing
No clock change is scheduled in the next 12 months according to the time-zone rules available when this page was opened. Other cities may still change their clocks, so check the date of an international meeting.
