Miami follows Eastern Time, including clock changes
Miami shares its clock with New York and Orlando. It uses UTC−5 during standard time and UTC−4 during daylight saving. Do not choose a time zone solely from the state name: part of Florida's Panhandle uses Central Time.
A call between Miami and Mexico City can shift even though Mexico City does not currently change its clocks. Flight itineraries normally show departure and arrival in each airport's local time; check both dates and convert both endpoints before interpreting the elapsed travel time.
Upcoming clock changes in Miami
- Clocks move back 60 minutes: 02:00 → 01:00.UTC−4 → UTC−5 · 06:00 UTC
- Clocks move forward 60 minutes: 02:00 → 03:00.UTC−5 → UTC−4 · 07:00 UTC
Moving forward skips local times; moving back repeats them. For a time within the repeated hour, TimeTravel lets you select the earlier or later occurrence.
